Practice of Yoga is an age-old process. It was originated in ancient India, in Pre-Vedic  period. It includes exercises which are helpful for physical, mental and spiritual well being of a person. With the passage of time, it was introduced and spreaded in western countries by different gurus and religious leaders. Nowadays, Yoga becomes very popular all over the world to combat fast, stressful and tough modern life. Every year, 21 st June is observed as International Yoga Day. In India, Yoga is included in curriculum also keeping in mind about it’s positive effects  on students. Radcliffe School, Kolkata arranged a special session on Yoga for students of Seeds to Class VIII. At first ,the importance of Yoga was explained to the students and then Asanas like, Padmasana,  Vajrasana, Virasana, Dhanurasana, Gomukhasana, Dirghapranama, Yogamudra, Bhujangasana, Shalbhasana, Ustrasana, Matsyasana and Bhastrikasana were practised by students with explanation of their effects on our body and mind.
