Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August at Radcliffe School, Jaipur with great pomp and show. School staff, students and their parents gathered together to pay their homage to leaders and martyrs who laid their lives during their struggle to attain freedom. Mrs. Kavita Kaur, Principal of Radcliffe School, welcomed the gathering. The celebration commenced as Saraswati Vandana was sung followed by Flag hoisting and National Anthem. Our National Flag was unfurled by the Chief Guests Mr. Hanuman Sahay (Sarpanch, Mahapura), Mr. Harsahay Yadav (Ex. Pradhan , Mahapura), Mrs. Neeru Yadav (PTA Member) and Principal ma’am. He spoke about the significance of the historic day and urged the students to become model citizens. Mrs Neeru Yadav also delivered a patriotic poem which made the atmosphere even more vibrant with nationalism.
Various cultural programmes were organized with the aim of developing the leadership qualities of children including fancy dress competition, performances by students on patriotic songs, poem recitations, group songs etc. Chief Guest Mrs. Neeru Yadav distributed prizes among the little soldiers and freedom fighters played by grade Seeds, Buds and Blossoms. Children demonstrated patriotism through skits and group dances as well. They enacted glimpse of the historical unity of Freedom fighters.
National Flags of different sizes were used to symbolise allegiance to the country. The celebration was concluded with the National Song and vote of thanks by Head Girl and Head Boy. This program was a tribute to our army men and freedom fighters who sacrificed their life so that we could get our independence, live peacefully with pride and dignity.
